This section of the web site has been developed as a catalyst for a broader community discussion about how the concept of telecommuting can build stronger communities. We call this the creation of the telecommuting mindset i.e., that condition in which parity is established between physical and electronic access of each service. When a sufficient quantity of these applications are present in a community we say that "Critical Mass" has been achieved. At this point the community can properly support a community development strategy based upon telecommuting. Each of the component applications listed on the left share many of the enabling infrastructures and therefore, they all have a certain level of interdependence. This section of the site has been developed to explore how each of these "marketing verticals" can be integrated to support a "horizontal deployment" of telecommuting. Each page has been developed as a template to support:
Please select any of the application areas on the left to view additional information.
- A PowerPoint Presentation- as an overview to the subject
- An e-Consensus Forum ®- to broaden and deepen the discussion, and
- A Referral Center- to link interested parties to additional resources.
APPLICATION LEADERS WANTEDAs the list of elements expand, it is hoped that sponsors will be identified to fund the development and maintenance of these pages as well as the cost of operating the e-Consensus Forums® that will develop from them.Sponsoring organizations will: .
- Identify Trends- on registry issues, deployment statistics, etc.
- Submit Profiles- of ongoing challenges and opportunities for societal access
- Suggest Topics- for the forums focusing on what needs to be done before this application becomes fully accepted and ubiquitously available in society.
