The Regional Telecommuting Action Plan has been developed to: profile the maximum potential for telework in the region, and document the resulting impacts that a strategic deployment of telework can have on the region- including congestion relief with its resulting reductions in vehicle miles driven, trips taken, time lost and reductions in vehicular emissions. Create a Deployment Partnership within the Region Estimate a deployment target for the region based upon sample employers which complete the TDP Demonstration Program. The Telework Assessment seeks the participation of two employer groups: By Occupation- Employers will be asked to identify employees that represent specific occupations based upon the Region's Work Force Profile. Analysis of this data determines the overall regional potential for telework. .... By Industry- These employers will be offered the opportunity to complete the Telework Deployment Program (and optionally the Business Continuity Assessment). An analysis of their deployment decisions will be a primary indicator for a regional telework deployment target.

There are four integrated instruments involved in the Telework Assessment:

• Occupational Assessment- The OAI determines how many days per week the occupation could be performed remotely, what level of technology was required to support the function and it classified the occupation according to TCR's Worker Typology
• Managerial Assessment- The MAI surveyed the participant's opinions about telework in general, how it should be supervised in particular and how ready (attitudinally and technologically) various groups within the organization are to deploy telework
• Payback Assessment-
the PAI computes the time and resources that the individual participant would save based upon their specific commute and the number of days per week they would like to do it. This data is also aggregated to compare the sample to regional commuting statistics and extrapolate fuel savings, emission reductions etc. and
• Optionally, the Business Continuity Assessment- is included. The BCAI identifies those functions that are performed by the participating workers and documents how long the activity can go unrecovered before serious damage to the organization would occur and what the lowest level environment could be used to begin the recovery process.

• TeleWork Deployment Program Licenses -are provided to the deployment team in quantities determined by the partnership agreement.
• Training- A train-the-trainer program is offered in conjunction with the TDP Demonstration Program . In unique situations it may be contracted for separately.
• Seminars- Four TCR appearances with timing and subject to suit the needs of the Partnership. (training is scheduled during each visit).
• Marketing "Slicks"- to facilitate your employers accessing the TCR Web site- either directly or through your local web site portal.
• Membership in TCR- for sponsored offices and employees to access the e-Consensus Forums
